Client Review: Architecture and Cuisine in Barcelona

Architecture of Barcelona horizontal

Spain
My visit to Spain was a great second experience in this country. While it was a quick 3 days here, and I wished I had more time to explore the south of Spain; Barcelona was a beautiful city to explore and check off my list. I’m so glad I had BeauNoir Travel plan and execute this amazing trip.

Barcelona:

Transportation:
– I had the same driver from the airport as well as for my tour. He was friendly but didn’t speak much English (and I don’t speak Spanish), which made it just a little hard to communicate to find him at the airport and ask him questions.

Hotel: BCN Hotel Granados 83
– This hotel was very modern and sleek. I loved the architecture, however, I did not love that my room faced internally. I prefer natural sunlight and a scenic view. However, the hotel staff were absolutely phenomenal, from the helpful front desk to the kitchen waiter who went out of his way for questions/dietary needs I had. I even went out to a local festival with some of the staff!

The entrance to a hotel is lit up with blue lights.

Tours:
– This tour was led by a local guide
There was some miscommunication about the start time, as she had arrived at 9 and I was under the impression it was at 10. Other than this snafu, she was a great tour guide and very invested in the history and culture (despite her not being a native).

Overall:
I enjoyed Barcelona because of the architecture (La Sagrada Familia left me speechless) and food. The walk down La Rambla was epic and recommended. The hotel staff really made my experience excellent as well.
